Steam donkeys are steam engines with integrated gearing and controls used to haul and load logs and other heavy equipment at logging sites, by means of heavy winched steel cables.  These engines were in common use from the late 1800's through the early 20th century.  Most were supplanted by diesel power during the late 1920's and were often simply abandoned in the woods to rot and rust where they were last used.

Other items (rail car/track & workman) shown for size comparison - Not included.

Scale model is for display and operating model railroad load / modelling and is not a child's toy.
Static model only.  No moving parts.  Can not be used to boil water and make steam to actually move logs or any other load.

FRAGILE.

For use by railroad modelers age 14 minimum.

Imagine your layout with this accurately designed steam donkey on a heavy duty flatcar bound from your iron and steel factory out to your logging site model.
